Emily Westenhouser holds a BFA from the Columbus College of Art and Design with a focus in three-dimensional illustration and sculpture. An accomplished artist, her mixed media artwork features a love of drawing, found objects, sculpture, and sewn collage. She has exhibited in many group shows, has been featured in several solo exhibitions, and has traveled across the Midwest exhibiting her work at various arts events. Emily has worked as an art educator teaching students of all ages classes in fine art and craft fundamentals for many notable institutions and arts organizations. As an educator, teaching sewing as a form of self-sufficiency is her most treasured work. Her current project, the Weinland Park Sewing Circle works with residents in the Weinland Park neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio and surrounding communities to grow sewing skills while creating art.
